In the Budget the Chancellor announced that the national Minimum Wage increases in April 2018 will be as follows:

 

16 - 17 year olds: £4.05 increasing to £4.20

18 – 20 year olds: £5.60 increasing to £5.90

21 – 24 year olds: £7.05 increasing to £7.38

25 year olds +: £7.50 increasing to £7.83

 

The Apprentice rate: £3.50 increasing to £3.70 – this applies to apprentices under 19 and those in their first year, regardless of age.

 

You will also need to bear in mind that also in April the Auto Enrolment minimum contributions increase, see our post from 6th December 2017 for details about this change.
